Tucson Police Investigating Double Fatal Shooting on West Laguna Street

Tucson, AZ – Two men are dead following a late-night shooting in Tucson that authorities say stemmed from a confrontation.
According to the Tucson Police Department (TPD), officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 200 block of West Laguna Street at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
Upon arrival, officers located two adult male victims who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene.
TPD’s Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation, and detectives are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No suspects are currently in custody, and authorities have not released any information regarding potential suspects or motives.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
