The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of East 56th Street and Hoppensack Avenue.
According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, the victim has been identified as Elijah Harris, a resident of Cleveland.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene and transported Harris to MetroHealth Medical Center. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the teenager succumbed to his injuries later that evening.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
