Victims killed in Beaver County shooting identified

UPDATE: Police confirmed to Channel2 NOW that a family of four was shot inside the home, leaving a mother and father dead at the scene and their two children who later succumbed to their injuries at a Pittsburgh hospital.
The victims have been identified as Michelle Hunt, her husband Bill Hunt, and their two children, Cody Hunt and CJ.

Authorities are investigating a tragic shooting incident in North Sewickley Township, Beaver County, that left two people dead and two others injured on Sunday night.

“It’s really hard to wrap your head around something like this. A multiple homicide in a small town—it’s staggering. You just don’t hear about things like this happening here,” she added.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
