24-year-old Alexcia Ayers killed after shooting on Carr Street in downtown St. Louis
The St. Louis community is grieving the tragic loss of 24-year-old Alexcia Ayers, who was fatally shot on the evening of December 29. The incident occurred near the 700 block of Carr Street in downtown St. Louis.
Police officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Ayers suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment building around 10 p.m.
Despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel, Ayers was pronounced deceased at the scene.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
