The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Saturday morning outside Showgirl One, a nightclub near the intersection of Goshen and Coliseum.
At approximately 3:20 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting outside the establishment.
Upon arrival, they discovered a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Despite efforts from bystanders who performed CPR, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Marilu Munoz.

In addition to the fatality, two other individuals sustained injuries during the incident.
Both were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigations suggest the violence stemmed from a fight that escalated into gunfire in the nightclub’s parking lot.
Authorities have clarified that no shots were fired inside the venue.
Currently, no suspects are in custody. However, police have stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The FWPD is urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
