Authorities in Dothan have launched an investigation following the tragic discovery of two brothers found dead from gunshot wounds inside a residence.

Just before 8 a.m. on Friday, Dothan police were called to a home in the 1200 block of South Park Avenue.

According to Lt. Scott Owens, a concerned family member went to check on one of the residents after not hearing from him.

Upon entering the home, she discovered his body and immediately called 911.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a second man deceased inside the residence. Both men had sustained gunshot wounds.

The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Zatorrion O’Neil Facion and his 20-year-old brother, Omarion Jackson.

The brothers were last heard from on Thursday, raising concerns among family members.

Lt. Owens confirmed that the bodies of the two men will be sent to Montgomery for autopsies as part of the ongoing investigation.

No further details have been released at this time, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the case to contact the Dothan Police Department.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
