1 killed, 10 injured after shooting at high school party in Fort Wayne
Authorities believe that all the other injured individuals are in non-life-threatening condition.
A tragic shooting incident occurred on Saturday night in the northeast side of Fort Wayne, Indiana, resulting in one fatality and injuries to ten others.
The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) responded to a call about gunfire and people running in all directions in the 4900 block of Manistee Drive, off of Stellhorn Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered one person deceased and several others suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Preliminary information and witness accounts suggest that the shooting took place during a high school party.
Multiple individuals were struck by gunfire, with one victim being pronounced dead at the scene.
FWPD officials stated that they are currently investigating the incident and do not have a clear understanding of the number of suspects involved.
Ten victims have been identified so far, and while their names and ages have not been released, authorities believe that all the other injured individuals are in non-life-threatening condition.
The investigation into the shooting is being conducted jointly by the FWPD, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Coroner’s office.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
