31-year-old Robert Watkins killed after shooting in Humboldt Park parking lot

A 31-year-old man, identified as Robert Watkins, was tragically killed in a shooting incident that occurred in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on Thursday evening.

According to Chicago police reports, the incident unfolded around 6:40 PM in the 800 block of North Kedzie Avenue.

Watkins was standing in a parking lot when he was confronted by a group of four armed assailants.

The suspects, who had arrived in a vehicle, exited the car and immediately produced firearms.

They proceeded to open fire on Watkins, inflicting multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite being rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital for emergency medical treatment, Watkins succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this fatal shooting.

The Chicago Police Department is actively investigating the incident and seeking to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for Watkins’ death.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
