UPDATE: An Anderson County, South Carolina teenager has been arrested in connection to a shooting that left seven hurt, and a 15-year-old dead in Elberton, Georgia.
18-year-old Jarquavious Demetriun Scott is charged with MURDER. Anderson County Sheriff’s Office SC records show Scott was arrested today.
Six teenagers were shot, along with an adult in the shooting that killed 15-year-old Bry’Shun Jordan on Oct. 12 at a homecoming afterparty in Elberton.
Scott will be extradited back and formally charged with Murder in the coming days.

A tragic incident occurred on Saturday night in Elbert County, Georgia, resulting in the death of a 15-year-old and injuries to several others.
The shooting took place just before midnight on Evergreen Drive in Elberton, following the Hart County Schools’ homecoming dance.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is actively investigating the homicide, assisting the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office.
While the identities of the victims were initially withheld, it was later confirmed that the 15-year-old who lost their life was Bry’Shun Jordan, a student at Hart Academy.
In addition to Jordan, six other teenagers and one adult sustained gunshot wounds during the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, and authorities have not released any information regarding potential suspects or arrests.
Hart County Schools released a statement expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss of Bry’Shun Jordan.
The school district announced that they would be offering additional counseling services to students starting on Monday, October 14, to help them cope with the grief and trauma associated with the incident.
The shooting has sent shockwaves through the Hart County community, particularly as it occurred so close to the homecoming dance. As Elbert County is currently on fall break, it is unclear if any of the other victims were students.
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
