UPDATE: Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Andre Williams II, the suspect in the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old Beaumont man early Sunday morning.

Beaumont, Texas – Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 3:21 AM, Officers responded to 3111 Concord (Honey’s ) in reference a victim of a shooting or auto pedestrian crash.

Upon arrival Officers discovered the male victim had been shot and was on the ground in the parking lot.

Officers provided medical assistance until EMS arrived and pronounced him deceased.

Officers managed a large crowd and worked to identify any potential victims, suspects, and witnesses.

First responders also managed a hazmat situation because a 55-gallon barrel containing gas was struck during the shooting, causing it to spill in the Honey’s parking lot and onto Delaware.

Fire shut down Delaware and cleaned up the spill.

The victim was identified as a Gregory Carrington, a 24 year old Beaumont man.

Investigators are still in the early stages of the investigation and interviewing witnesses.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
