18-year-old Joseph Padilla killed after shooting in Fort Worth Stockyards
Fort Worth police say a suspect shot into a crowd of people, hitting four people.

A tragic shooting incident occurred early Sunday morning near the Fort Worth Stockyards, prompting an immediate investigation by homicide detectives.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the parking lot of a business located in the 100 block of NW 24th Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered one victim deceased at the scene and several others suffering from gunshot wounds.
The injured individuals were promptly transported to nearby hospitals where they are expected to recover.
Additionally, another victim sought medical attention at a local hospital by private means.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has identified the deceased victim as 18-year-old Joseph Steven Padilla.
According to the medical examiner’s website, Saturday, Oct. 5 was his 18th birthday.
Fort Worth police have not released any information regarding suspects or arrests related to the shooting at this time.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
