41-year-old Tyrell Norris killed after shooting in Binghamton

A 41-year-old Binghamton man has succumbed to his injuries following a shooting incident on Monday night.

According to Binghamton Police, officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim at Town and Country Apartments on Roberts Street around 10:15 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found Tyrell Norris suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Despite life-saving efforts, he was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

While still at the scene, police were notified of a second shooting victim in the area of Liberty Street.

A 21-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound to his foot.

He was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation has revealed that the shooting occurred in the parking lot of Building 2-8 at 100 Roberts Street.

Norris was an innocent bystander who was struck by a stray bullet while inside his residence.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Binghamton Police Department.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
