Clarksville Governor’s Square Mall Active Shooter Situation Resolved – No Injuries Reported

The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) responded to a report of an active shooter at Governors Square Mall on Sunday, September 22nd, at approximately 10:47 AM. Officers arrived within a minute of the initial 911 call.
Witnesses reported gunfire in the mall parking lot and perimeter road. Law enforcement personnel conducted a thorough search of the mall interior to ensure public safety and locate any potential victims.
The search concluded at 1:42 PM, and no evidence of a shooter or any injuries was found inside the mall.
The mall was then reopened to employees and shoppers.
The Clarksville Police Department extends its gratitude to all responding agencies, including the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Homeland Security, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Clarksville Fire Rescue, Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), First Call, Vanderbilt EMS, and CPD dispatchers.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident, not a random act of violence. District 3 Criminal Investigations detectives are actively seeking information from the public.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.
As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.
The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.
At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
