25-year-old Elijah Wyand dead after shooting at Anubis Hookah Lounge in Fayetteville

A fatal shooting occurred early Saturday morning at the Anubis Hookah Lounge in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, officers responded to a report of gunfire at the establishment located at 5391 Ramsey Street around 1:52 AM.

Upon arrival, police discovered a man in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.

Despite immediate medical attention, the victim, later identified as 25-year-old Elijah Wyand, succumbed to his injuries at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A second individual was also injured in the shooting and was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Fayetteville/Cumberland County Crimestoppers program is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in this incident.

The Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the shooting.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
