30-year-old Taquajah Page killed in crash on I-270 in Columbus

A 30-year-old woman lost her life in a car accident on Interstate 270 in Columbus, Ohio, early Sunday morning.

The crash occurred just before 2:30 AM in the southbound lanes of I-270, south of I-70.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, Taquajah Page was driving a Mazda 6 in the right lane when she attempted to make a U-turn and was struck by a vehicle traveling in the left lane.

Page was tragically pronounced dead at the scene at 2:37 AM.

While the driver of the other vehicle escaped unharmed, two passengers sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals.

Authorities believe they will recover from their injuries.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Columbus Police Department.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
