DJ Nakender Bruno killed in shooting after leaving house party in Laurelton, Queens

One of three cousins shot outside a house party in Queens has tragically lost their life. The gunman, who opened fire on the victims as they were loading DJ equipment into a van, remains at large.

The incident occurred around 1 AM on Sunday in the 220th Street block near 133rd Avenue in Laurelton. Nakender Bruno, 24, was struck in the upper body and rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries. Bruno was a resident of St. Albans.

The other two victims, a 24-year-old man shot in the neck and a 33-year-old man shot in the torso, are in stable condition and expected to recover. All three victims are cousins, according to police sources.

The younger survivor was transported to North Shore University Hospital, while the other was taken to Jamaica Hospital.

Police have recovered shell casings at the scene but have not yet determined the motive for the shooting.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.

The public is asked to remain clear of the immediate area to allow for the ongoing investigation.
