11:54 AM UPDATE: Enterprise City Schools and the Enterprise Police Department (EPD) implemented a lockdown at Enterprise High School and Enterprise Career & Technology Center after School Resource Officers discovered ammunition on a student this morning.

While no firearms were found, the lockdown was enacted as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

The Enterprise Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is continuing to investigate the incident involving the ammunition found on school grounds.

The safety and well-being of the students remain the top priority.

UPDATE: Enterprise City Schools has placed Enterprise High School (EHS) and Enterprise Career Technical Center (ECTC) on lockdown following the discovery of ammunition on the EHS campus.

The lockdown was implemented as a precautionary measure while law enforcement conducts thorough searches of both schools. Members of the public are urged to avoid the area until the lockdown is lifted.

Officers are currently on site at the schools and will remain there until the searches are completed.

Suspect in custody after shooting at Meridian Mall

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities have confirmed that a suspect is in custody following a shooting incident at the Meridian Mall on Friday afternoon.

As a result, the lockdown at the mall has been lifted.

The Meridian Township Police Department issued a public advisory just before 2:00 p.m., urging residents and shoppers to avoid the area near the Dick’s Sporting Goods entrance while officers conducted an active investigation at the scene.

At this time, police have not released specific details regarding the nature of the shooting, including whether anyone was injured or the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s arrest.

Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the incident and are expected to provide additional information as it becomes available.
